Privacy policy

The GTAV respects your privacy. Protecting your personal information is important to us. Although the Association is not covered by the requirements of the new Commonwealth Privacy Laws (having a turnover of less than $3 million and not liable under any other provision) we believe it is important we meet the guidelines laid down in the new laws.

At GTAV we only collect information which is necessary to administer your membership. Information we collect is used to ensure that your status as a financial member is recorded, to send you print and electronic mail outs, and to keep you up to date with various activities provided by GTAV.

The membership details are strictly confidential. We do not make them available to any outside organisation or allow any person except designated office personnel and Committee members to consult them. Membership forms are destroyed after seven years in accordance with the requirements of the Australian Taxation Office and the Victorian Office of Business and Consumer Affairs. As a member of GTAV you may ask to see the information held about you.

If you require any further information on the personal details that GTAV holds and how it is managed please contact our Office Manager on 9824 8355 or by email at office@gtav.asn.au.
