In addition to the external Professional Learning programs the GTAV is in a position to customise activities to enhance professional learning opportunities for individuals and groups. The GTAV can help in areas such as:
developing curriculum and assessment in light of VELS
specific topic ideas and resources
incorporating sustainability as an underlying principle
implementing relevant teaching strategies
incorporating spatial concepts and skills
incorporating other domains
designing meaningful fieldwork
introducing and enhancing incorporation of GIS and other spatial technologies
supporting Geography teachers who do not have an academic background in geography.
