GTAV wins AGTA Awards

The GTAV is very proud to announce that we received two AGTA Awards at the January 2017 AGTA conference.

Our gratitude and congratulations goes to all the people involved in writing and producing these high-quality resources.

2016 AGTA Award
The Senior School Geography Resource category

for the GTAV VCE Geography textbook series

VCE Geography series provides teachers and students with topic based textbooks that provide comprehensive and detailed content on the four topics of the VCE Senior school curriculum. This high quality resource is jam packed with lots of global examples and challenging tasks for students. Many Victorian based examples could be easily adapted to local case studies in other states.

The judging panel deemed this resource to be a detailed and sophisticated resource that was highly suitable for VELS and non-VELS curriculum.

2016 AGTA Award

Geographic Education Resource
for Interaction : Fieldwork Edition

Interaction Fieldwork Edition was produced by GTAV as part of their Interaction journal series. The Fieldwork edition provides lots of easy to apply examples of different fieldwork activities – thus a great resource for new teachers. All activities have been tried and tested by teachers, making the activities very personable. The examples cover primary, middle and senior courses.

The judging panel reflected on the quality of this resource in terms of its focus on improving teaching methodology for teachers, with lots of “how to teach” examples, thus contributing significantly to improving geography teaching.
